Learning of Object Concept Through Function and Shape
TENCON 2006 - 2006 IEEE Region 10 Conference, 2006This paper discusses a novel framework for object understanding. Many conventional object learning and recognition frameworks rely upon visual information. We model object concept through the relationship between shape and function. Implementation of the proposed framework using Bayesian Netowrk is also presented.

Thus, the meaning of a word can be learned by connecting a recognized word to its corresponding concept.
