Motives and barriers to blood donation among adults aged over 50 years: A qualitative analysis
Abstract Background Ageing populations will increase demand for blood‐products and donors who supply them. While blood collection agencies (BCAs) typically target younger people to expand supply, recruiting donors aged 50+ is also a potential solution. However, few studies focus exclusively on this group.

ABSTRACT The dual‐species biofilms formed by Streptococcus mutans and Candida albicans exhibit enhanced cariogenic potential due to the production of extracellular polysaccharides (EPSs). The response regulator GcrR in S. mutans negatively regulates EPS synthesis, but its impact on dual‐species biofilms remains unclear.

This review illustrates the key mechanisms of osimertinib resistance in EGFR‑mutant NSCLC, including EGFR‑dependent mutations, bypass pathway activation, and SMARCA4‑mediated epigenetic regulation. We also summarize emerging targeted therapies and future perspectives to overcome EGFR‑TKI resistance.
