ZNF33B Promotes Japanese Encephalitis Virus Infection by Regulating the Stability of M6A‐Modified Trim25 to Control the Autophagy Process

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Upon JEV infection, ZNF33B recruits METTL14 to stabilize the METTL3‐METTL14 m6A methyltransferase complex, leading to increased m6A modification of host transcripts, including Trim25 mRNA. ZNF33B selectively binds m6A‐modified sites on Trim25 mRNA and accelerates its decay, resulting in reduced TRIM25 protein abundance.

Analysis of the EIAV Rev-responsive element (RRE) reveals a conserved RNA motif required for high affinity Rev binding in both HIV-1 and EIAV.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2008
A cis-acting RNA regulatory element, the Rev-responsive element (RRE), has essential roles in replication of lentiviruses, including human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1) and equine infection anemia virus (EIAV).

Antigen Spreading via Localized Administration Enhances Adoptive TCR‐T Cell Therapy in Pancreatic Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cancer vaccines face limitations in pancreatic cancer due to insufficient tumor antigens. This ionic liquid ILvax via local tumor delivery triggers robust cDC1‐dependent systemic anti‐tumor immunity. It boosts endogenous CD8+ T cells and optimizes adoptive TCR‐T function, providing a promising synergistic therapeutic strategy.

Inhibition of KDEL Receptors Remodels the Tumor Microenvironment for T Cell Independent Tumor Regression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inhibition of KDELR2 in a small fraction of tumor cells generates sustainable immunogenic cell death conditions within the tumor microenvironment. These conditions promote the regression of tumors in a T cell independent manner. During regression, macrophages prime T cells that subsequently provide systemic protection against recurrence. The potency of

Influência da soropositividade ao vírus da artrite encefalite caprina no hemograma de cabras em lactação

open access: yesArquivos do Instituto Biológico

Argonaute 2 restored erectile function and corpus cavernosum mitochondrial function by reducing apoptosis in a mouse model of cavernous nerve injury [PDF]

open access: yesInvestigative and Clinical Urology
Purpose: To determine whether the overexpression of the Argonaute RNA-induced silencing complex catalytic component 2 (Ago2) improves erectile function in mice after cavernous nerve injury (CNI).

Targeting the HSPA8‐CMA‐ATP6V1A Axis Triggers Lysosomal Hyperacidification and Catastrophic Vacuolation in Prostate Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Our experimental evidence supports a model in which ALO targets the HSPA8‐CMA‐ATP6V1A axis to induce lysosomal hyperacidification and initiate osmotic and lipidomic stress. These changes are associated with LMP and loss of lysosomal integrity in prostate cancer cells.

The Nef activity on HIV-1 infectivity

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2014
The replication and pathogenicity of lentiviruses is crucially modulated by auxiliary proteins which are expressed in addition to the canonical retroviral ORFs gag, pol and env.

Neuron‐Derived MIF Engages VCAM1 to Fuel a Self‐Amplifying CXCL8 Loop That Drives Perineural Invasion and Metastasis in Gastric Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Neuron‐derived MIF binds VCAM1 on gastric cancer cells and activates ERK/STAT3 signaling, leading to CXCL8 transcription and secretion. Tumor‐derived CXCL8 subsequently stimulates neuronal CXCR2 to enhance MIF production, establishing a self‐amplifying MIF–VCAM1–CXCL8 positive‐feedback loop that promotes perineural invasion, tumor progression, and ...

The Role of the Antiviral APOBEC3 Gene Family in Protecting Chimpanzees against Lentiviruses from Monkeys.

open access: yesPLoS Pathogens, 2015
Cross-species transmissions of viruses from animals to humans are at the origin of major human pathogenic viruses. While the role of ecological and epidemiological factors in the emergence of new pathogens is well documented, the importance of host ...
