Survival Outcomes of Gemcitabine–Cisplatin–S‐1 Versus Gemcitabine–Cisplatin in Unresectable Biliary Tract Cancer: A Multicenter Retrospective Study With a Focus on Conversion Surgery

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
In this multicenter retrospective study conducted by the Biliary Tract Club, we compared survival outcomes between gemcitabine–cisplatin–S‐1 (GCS) and gemcitabine–cisplatin (GC) in patients with unresectable biliary tract cancer, with a particular focus on conversion surgery. GCS was associated with longer overall and progression‐free survival compared

ROBUST ESTIMATION OF THE MEDIAN LETHAL DOSE

Journal of Biopharmaceutical Statistics, 2002
Alternatives to M-estimation for robust estimation of the median lethal dose in biological assays are developed. A class of link functions based on the Student-t distribution is proposed, where degrees of freedom are estimated from the data by maximum likelihood. Other alternatives include slash and finite mixture distributions.

Lethality in the Rat as a Function of Dose Pattern

The British Journal of Radiology, 1958
Rats exposed seven days to a chronic field of 2 r/hour of 60Co γ rays immediately prior to or immediately after an acute dose of 800 r of 60Co γ rays did not exhibit a significant difference in either a 30-day or 90-day mortality. When compared to a group of rats receiving only an acute dose of 800 r of 60Co γ rays, both acute-chronic groups evidenced ...

Interval Estimation of the Median Lethal Dose

Biometrics, 1986
Assuming a logistic dose-response curve, one can construct a confidence interval for the LD50 from the asymptotic likelihood ratio test. Reasons are given for preferring this likelihood ratio interval to the established interval calculated by applying Fieller's theorem to the maximum likelihood estimates.
