The initial step in the fermentation of leucine to acetate, isobutyrate, and ammonia by Clostridium sporogenes is the B12 coenzyme-dependent conversion of alpha-leucine to beta-leucine (3-amino-4-methylpentanoate). The amino group migration reaction, catalyzed by leucine 2,3-aminomutase, is reversible and is inhibited by intrinsic factor.

Venetoclax (VEN) resistance in chronic lymphocytic leukemia arises from diverse BCL2 mutations. We map mechanisms contributing to VEN resistance across common BCL‐2 variants. G101V and D103Y reduce drug binding and increase sequestration of pro‐apoptotic proteins. V156D blocks VEN allosterically.

Expression of leucine, leucine-37 (LL-37) is enhanced in keratinocytes of skin lesions with psoriasis. We examined serum LL-37 levels in patients with psoriasis vulgaris. Serum LL-37 levels in patients were higher than in normal controls, and were reduced after cyclosporine A treatment.

In PWS‐ASPCs, FOSL1 drives the expression of SPSB1. SPSB1, as part of the ESC complex, further binds to HDAC1 and promotes K29‐linked and K48‐linked polyubiquitination of HDAC1. These modifications facilitate the degradation of HDAC1 through the ALP and UPS pathways, respectively.
