Linked (open) data at web scale: research, social and engineering challenges in the digital humanities

open access: yesJLIS.it, 2013
The amount of data available in the linked data cloud has grown enormously in the last years in several domains, including cultural heritage and digital humanities.

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

Diffusion and adoption of Linked Data among libraries

open access: yesProceedings of the Association for Information Science and Technology, 2020
AbstractThrough content analyses of literature about the Linked Data (LD) adoption of individual libraries, this study found that the diffusion of LD among libraries is a decentralized process with high‐degree of reinvention and a continuous process that includes multiple stages and might last for many years.

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Linked Data and Libraries : How the Switch to Linked Data Has Affected Work Practices at the National Library of Sweden

open access: yes, 2023
This thesis explores how library practice has been impacted by linked (open) data. For libraries, adopting linked data principles means moving away from the long-established reality of MARC-formats and opening up their information resources to the ...

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...
