FDG‐PET Associations With Disease Severity and Outcomes in NMDA‐Receptor IgG Autoimmune Encephalitis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Patients with N‐methyl‐D‐aspartate (NMDA) receptor‐immunoglobulin G (IgG) autoimmune encephalitis (NMDAR‐IgG AE) demonstrate occipital lobe hypometabolism on baseline brain fluorodeoxyglucose‐positron emission tomography (bFDG‐PET).

Cognitive and Neuroimaging Divergence Between Juvenile and Adult FUS Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by progressive motor neuron degeneration. Fused in sarcoma (FUS)‐associated juvenile ALS (jALS) represents a distinct and aggressive subgroup with rapid deterioration and poor prognosis.

Clinical, Anatomical, and Pathological Features in the Three Variants of Primary Progressive Aphasia: A Review

open access: yesFrontiers in Neurology, 2018
Primary progressive aphasias (PPA) are neurodegenerative diseases clinically characterized by an early and relatively isolated language impairment. Three main clinical variants, namely the nonfluent/agrammatic variant (nfvPPA), the semantic variant ...

Learning Linguistic Biomarkers for Predicting Mild Cognitive Impairment using Compound Skip-grams

open access: yesCoRR, 2015
Predicting Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) is currently a challenge as existing diagnostic criteria rely on neuropsychological examinations. Automated Machine Learning (ML) models that are trained on verbal utterances of MCI patients can aid diagnosis.

Reference Data for Attentional, Executive, Linguistic, and Visual Processing Tests Obtained from Cognitively Healthy Individuals with Normal Alzheimer’s Disease Cerebrospinal Fluid Biomarker Levels

open access: yesJournal of Alzheimer’s Disease, 2023
Background: Conventional neuropsychological norms likely include cognitively unimpaired (CU) individuals with preclinical Alzheimer’s disease (AD) pathology (amyloid-β, tau, and neurodegeneration) since they are based on cohorts without AD biomarkers data.

Multi‐Enzyme Mimetic Molybdenum Nitride Nanozymes Reshape Subgingival Microenvironment for Synergistic Periodontitis Therapy via ROS Regulation and Microbiome Remodeling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Periodontitis, a chronic inflammatory disease initiated and sustained by plaque microorganisms and host immune response, remains an intractable oral disease and a leading cause of tooth loss worldwide. Traditional mechanical debridement and adjunctive antibiotic or antiseptic therapy often shows limited efficacy due to the complex anatomical ...

From Label‐Free Multiphoton Imaging to Pathological Reports: A Vision‐Language Breast Cancer Margin Pathological Diagnosis System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
MarginPath is a novel vision‐language system that automates breast cancer margin assessment using a single label‐free multiphoton microscopy image. By integrating tumor‐associated collagen signatures with virtual H&E imaging, it generates accurate margin heatmaps and comprehensive diagnostic reports.

MiR‐940 Suppresses Ferroptosis by Controlling Expression of Key Regulatory Genes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A CRISPR‐based screening identified miR‐940 as a critical suppressor of ferroptosis in cancer. By coordinating the downregulation of pro‐ferroptotic genes with the upregulation of GPX4, miR‐940 establishes a regulatory network that protects against ferroptosis and correlates with poor clinical outcomes in distinct cancer entities.
