Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

Mechanism of thromboxane receptor-induced vasoconstriction in human saphenous vein
Saphenous vein (SV) is one of the most widely used graft material in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG). Thromboxane A(2) (TXA(2)) is implicated in graft failure by inducing vasoconstriction and platelet aggregation.

Vesicular trafficking and signaling for cytokine and chemokine secretion in mast cells
Upon activation mast cells (MC) secrete numerous inflammatory compounds stored in their cytoplasmic secretory granules (SG) by a process called anaphylactic degranulation, which is responsible for type I hypersensitivity responses.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Dietary extra virgin olive oil down regulates oxidized lipid mediators in CCl4 induced liver injury
Dietary oils rich in unsaturated fatty acids demonstrate various effects in chronic liver injury. Some reports indicated that extra virgin olive oil has better benefits against carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) induced liver injury, but the details are still ...

Endogenous Receptor Agonists: Resolving Inflammation
Controlled resolution or the physiologic resolution of a well-orchestrated inflammatory response at the tissue level is essential to return to homeostasis. A comprehensive understanding of the cellular and molecular events that control the termination of
