Minimal residual disease (MRD) leads to cancer relapse and poor survival in ovarian cancer. The lack of representative 3D models limits therapy development. The microfluidics‐based high throughput 3D microtumor platform described here generates clinically‐relevant MRD models. The 3D microtumors recapitulate the molecular signatures of MRD from patients.

Dynamics of Vesicle Formation from Lipid Droplet: Mechanism and Controllability [PDF]
A coarse-grained model developed by Marrink et al. [J. Phys. Chem. B 111, 7812 (2007)] is applied to investigate vesiculation of lipid [dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine (DPPC)] droplets in water. Three kinds of morphologies of micelles are found with increasing lipid droplet size.

Lipid peroxidation in women with epilepsy
Lipid peroxidation is an indicator of free radical metabolism and oxidative stress in human beings and other organisms. Malondialdehyde (MDA), an end product of lipid peroxidation, is a metabolite that can be readily estimated in serum samples. Excess oxidative stress may be a final common pathway through which anti epileptic drugs may exert their ...

The limitations of existing clinical treatments highlight the need for a more comprehensive strategy for addressing infected diabetic wounds. A tri‐layered scaffold is developed to deliver therapeutics loaded in CuBDC and ZIF‐8 MOFs that are tailored to the requirements of deep‐infected diabetic wounds.

Delayed treatment with nimesulide reduces measures of oxidative stress following global ischemic brain injury in gerbils [PDF]
Metabolism of arachidonic acid by cyclooxygenase is one of the primary sources of reactive oxygen species in the ischemic brain. Neuronal overexpression of cyclooxygenase-2 has recently been shown to contribute to neurodegeneration following ischemic injury.

Lipid peroxide formation in microsomes. Relationship of hydroxylation to lipid peroxide formation [PDF]
1. Aminopyrine strongly inhibits NADPH-induced lipid peroxide formation in rat liver microsomes, but ascorbate-induced peroxidation is inhibited to a smaller extent. 2. Aminopyrine oxidation is stimulated by Mg2+ but inhibited by Ca2+. Concentrated solutions (10mm) of iron-chelating agents inhibit aminopyrine oxidation, but the more dilute solutions (0·

A mitochondria‐targeted cationic nanoscale metal organic framework shows strong radiotherapy‐radiodynamic therapy effects and selectively releases digitonin in acidic tumor microenvironments to induce disulfidptosis of cancer cells and downregulate immune checkpoints in cancer and T cells, thereby eliciting strong antitumor immunity to effectively ...

Editorial: Impact of Lipid Peroxidation on the Physiology and Pathophysiology of Cell Membranes
Oxygen-derived free radicals such as hydroxyl and hydroperoxyl species have been demonstrated to oxidize membrane lipid components, mainly phospholipids, leading to lipid peroxidation.

Base editing using nanoneedles efficiently corrects pathogenic variants in the type VII collagen gene of primary fibroblasts from patients with recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa. Nanoneedle editing induces minimal and reversible transcriptional perturbations while restoring the production and secretion of functional type VII collagen.
