Physiological Effects of Five Different Marine Natural Organic Matters (NOMs) and Three Different Metals (Cu, Pb, Zn) on Early Life Stages of the Blue Mussel (Mytilus galloprovincialis) [PDF]
Metals are present in aquatic environments as a result of natural and anthropogenic inputs, and may induce toxicity to organisms. One of the main factors that influence this toxicity in fresh water is natural organic matter (NOM) but all NOMs are not the

Lipid Peroxidation in Meat and Meat Products
The meat and meat products present a considerable amount of lipid in their composition. The lipid composition of these foods is diversified. Thus, depending on the type of meat, which can be rich in unsaturated fatty acid, there is an increase in the ...

Coatings of titanium‐gold are grown in nitrogen and oxygen environments via magnetron sputtering to simultaneously enhance their biotribological and antibacterial properties. The coatings are highly crystalline with superhard scratch‐resistant surfaces and wear rates 20 times lower than the bare Ti‐6Al‐4V substrate.

Photosensitizing lipid nanoparticles (PLNPs) are engineered by incorporating cholesterol–PEG–pheophorbide a into MC3‐based LNPs and encapsulating GPX4‐targeting siRNA. Upon light activation, PLNPs generate reactive oxygen species (ROS) while silencing GPX4 to induce ferroptosis.
