Hyperglycemic Hyperosmolar Syndrome With Higher Brain Dysfunction in Which Arterial Spin Labeling Revealed Abnormal Cerebral Blood Flow: A Case Report. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Treatment for hyperglycemic hyperosmolar syndrome (HHS) was initiated for a transferred unconscious patient. Aphasia and agnosia remained even after metabolic improvement. Arterial spin labeling (ASL) indicated increased blood flow in the left temporal and parietal lobes.

The Silver Jubilee (2025) of Insulin Glargine: Introducing the Era of Long-Acting Insulin Analogues for Diabetes Mellitus. [PDF]
ABSTRACT In the year 2000 the first once daily long‐acting bioengineered insulin analogue (LAIA), insulin glargine (‘glargine’), a true basal insulin (BI), became available for clinical use. This led to the decline in the 50‐year‐old era and prominence of the intermediate‐acting insulins, neutral protamine Hagedorn (NPH) and lente, requiring twice ...

Introduction To assess time in range (TIR) (70–180 mg/dL) with postprandial glucose (PPG)-focused titration of ultra rapid lispro (URLi; Lyumjev®) in combination with insulin degludec in people with type 1 diabetes (T1D).

Objective Basal insulin glargine has a neutral effect on cardiovascular risk in type 2 diabetes (T2DM). In practice, basal insulin is often paired with a glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP1-RA) or meal insulin; however, the cardiovascular ...

Continuous glucose monitoring-guided management of capivasertib-associated hyperglycemia: A case series of three patients. [PDF]
Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) visualized cyclic glycemic fluctuations associated with the 4‐days‐on/3‐days‐off capivasertib schedule. Compared with off‐treatment days, dosing days showed higher mean sensor glucose, greater coefficient of variation (CV), more time above 250 mg/dL, and lower time in range (TIR; 70–180 mg/dL).
