Pollen Quantity and Viability in 65 Litchi (Litchi chinensis Sonn.) Cultivars [PDF]
The characteristics of litchi pollen have drawn increasing attention in recent years. Previous studies indicated that there are significant differences in the quantity and viability of litchi pollen grains among different varieties and flowering stages. Moreover, the same variety may show a different quantity of pollen grains and viability in different

Improved Longan Genome Assembly Reveals Insights Into Flowering Mechanisms
ABSTRACT Longan is an exotic tropical fruit crop and exhibits off‐season flowering induced by potassium chlorate (KClO3), though the molecular mechanisms remain unclear. We assembled a high‐quality, 441.5 Mb genome of variety ‘Shixia’, with a contig N50 at 28.1 Mb, 29, 325 protein‐coding genes, 26 telomeres and 15 centromeres.

ABSTRACT DREB/ERF transcription factors play pivotal roles in plant development; however, their structural characteristics, DNA‐binding preferences, and functional roles in highly heterozygous woody plants remain insufficiently understood. Using lychee (Litchi chinensis) as a model, we identified 95 DREB/ERF genes subdivided into ten phylogenetic ...
