[Involvement of TAP2 and LMP7 gene polymorphisms in HCV infection].
Nihon rinsho. Japanese journal of clinical medicine, 2001We aimed to study whether TAP and LMP polymorphisms could influence the severity of liver disease or the response to IFN treatment in patients with chronic HCV infection. TAPZ*0103 gene frequencies in carriers with normal ALT was significantly higher than that in CLD patients.

AbstractProteasome‐mediated proteolysis is responsible for the generation of immunogenic epitopes presented by MHC class I molecules, which activate antigen‐specific CD8+ T cells. Immunoproteasomes, defined by the presence of the three catalytic subunits LMP2, MECL‐1, and LMP7, have been hypothesized to optimize MHC class I antigen processing.

Development and characterization of mouse anti‐human LMP2, LMP7, TAP1 and TAP2 monoclonal antibodies
Tissue Antigens, 1998Abstract: Low molecular mass polypeptides (LMP) 2 and LMP7 and transporter associated with antigen processing (TAP) subunits TAP1 and TAP2 play a crucial role in antigen processing and cell surface expression of HLA class I molecules. Since monoclonal antibodies (mAb) to these molecules will facilitate the analysis of their expression, structure and ...

Lentinan alleviates angiotensin II-induced myocardial remodeling through LMP7-SOCS3 signaling
International Journal of Biological MacromoleculesMyocardial remodeling is a major pathological mechanism causing heart failure. As a critical negative modulator of cardiac remodeling, suppressor of cytokine signaling 3 (SOCS3) is regulated by immunoproteasome subunit large multifunctional peptidase 7 (LMP7).

To evaluate the relationship of the polymorphism of LMP2 and LMP7 genes and the phenotype of patients with ankylosing spondylitis(AS).One hundred and eighteen blood samples were collected from patients with AS and acute anterior uveitis(AAU). HLA-B(27) typing was performed and LMP2 and LMP7 amplified fragment length polymorphisms were determined after ...

Cellular distribution of proteasome subunit Lmp7 mRNA and protein in human placentas.
Immunology, 1996Human leucocyte antigen (HLA) class I antigen expression is closely controlled in placental trophoblast cells, which interface directly with genetically disparate maternal blood and tissues during pregnancy. In this study, the possibility that LMP7, a proteasome component that may be required for processing of class I-associated peptides, might be ...
