The first analogues of LNA (Locked Nucleic Acids): Phosphorothioate-LNA and 2′-thio-LNA

Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 1998
LNA (Locked Nucleic Acids, 1, X = O, Y = O) is a novel oligonucleotide analogue capable of recognizing complementary DNA and RNA with unprecedented thermal affinities. Synthesis of the first chemically modified LNA analogues is reported. A 9-mer phosphorothioate-LNA containing three LNA thymine monomers (1, X = O, Y = S, Base = thymin-1-yl) and 9-mer ...

High-affinity nucleic acid recognition using ‘LNA’ (locked nucleic acid, β-D-ribo configured LNA), ‘xylo-LNA’ (β-D-xylo configured LNA) or ‘α-L-LNA’ (α-L-ribo configured LNA)

Chemical Communications, 1999
Remarkably strong binding affinities towards complementary single stranded DNA and RNA were obtained for 10- and 14-mer LNAs (locked nucleic acids) containing diastereoisomeric β-D-ribo, β-D-xylo or α-L-ribo configured LNA thymine monomers; a possible relevance of these results in relation to nucleic acid evolution is discussed.

UHF Wideband GaAs MMIC LNA

2021 IEEE 19th International Symposium on Antenna Technology and Applied Electromagnetics (ANTEM), 2021
A wideband room temperature UHF-band MMIC low noise amplifier based on 0.15 μm pHEMT GaAs technology is presented. The amplifier achieves about 30 dB gain over a five-octave frequency range from 300 MHz to 1.5 GHz with minimum noise of 0.55 dB at room temperature.

Lna (Locked Nucleic Acid)

Nucleosides and Nucleotides, 1999
Abstract LNA (Locked Nucleic Acid) forms duplexes with complementary DNA, RNA or LNA with unprecedented thermal affinities. CD spectra show that duplexes involving fully modified LNA (especially LNA:RNA) structurally resemble an A-form RNA:RNA duplex. NMR examination of an LNA:DNA duplex confirm the 3′-endo conformation of an LNA monomer.

STRUCTURAL STUDIES ON LNA QUADRUPLEXES

Nucleosides, Nucleotides & Nucleic Acids, 2005
LNAs (locked nucleic acids) are new DNA analogues with higher binding affinities toward nucleic acids than the canonical counterparts mainly due to the characteristic conformational restriction arising from the 2'-O, 4'-C methylene bridge. In light of the promising therapeutic applications and considering the advantageous characteristics of LNAs, such ...

Structural Characterization of LNA and α-L-LNA Hybridized to RNA

Nucleosides, Nucleotides and Nucleic Acids, 2003
LNA and alpha-L-LNA are promising candidates for the development of efficient oligonucleotide-based therapeutic agents. Here, we present a short overview of the structural results we have obtained for LNA:RNA and alpha-L-LNA:RNA hybrids. Specifically, we have shown that LNA acts as an A-type mimic, while alpha-L-LNA acts as a B-type mimic when built ...

LNA characterization methodologies

International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, 2016
SummaryJoint characterization of low‐noise amplifiers regarding stochastic and deterministic parameters based on output power measurement for a set of known input termination impedances is considered. As an advantage of this method, both noise parameters and the input impedance can be obtained for narrow and broad band applications without special ...

SiGe LNAs for UMTS System

Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing, 2001
Three LNAs at 2 GHz frequency range have been implemented in a SiGe Bipolar process targeted for a universal mobile telecommunications system. The LNAs are operating in two gain modes and they include a power-down mode. Both on-wafer and packaged LNAs were measured.
