ATPG-based logic synthesis

Proceedings of the 2002 IEEE/ACM international conference on Computer-aided design - ICCAD '02, 2002
The ultimate goal of logic synthesis is to explore implementation flexibility toward meeting design targets, such as area, power, and delay. Traditionally, such flexibility is expressed using "don't cares" and we seek the best implementation that does not violate them.

Logical pattern synthesis

WESCON/59 Conference Record, 2005
Antennas with high performance characteristics can be designed by the use of logical and switching operations to combine the radiation patterns from a multiple antenna system. The mathematical and engineering principles employed are similar to those used in digital computer design. This paper presents a general discussion of logical operators useful in

Technology adaption in logic synthesis

Proceedings of the 23rd ACM/IEEE conference on Design automation - DAC '86, 1986
Systems which synthesize logic implementations from specifications have moved, under the pressure of production requirements, from Boolean minimizers to procedures attempting to satisfy a wider range of criteria. Gate or cell count, taken as a measure of area, continues to be a major factor in design acceptability, but timing constraints, testability ...

Quantified synthesis of reversible logic

Proceedings of the conference on Design, automation and test in Europe, 2008
In the last years synthesis of reversible logic functions has emerged as an important research area. Other fields such as low-power design, optical computing and quantum computing benefit directly from achieved improvements. Recently, several approaches for exact synthesis of Toffoli networks have been proposed.

Crosstalk-Aware Domino-Logic Synthesis

IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems, 2006
We propose a logic synthesis flow to synthesize a domino-cell network with less crosstalk effect. Crosstalk-immunity property of or gate and relations between wire adjacency and cell I/O are exploited in technology mapping. Meanwhile, a metric to measure the crosstalk sensitivity of domino cells in synthesis level is proposed.

Beyond logic synthesis

Proceedings of WESCON '93, 2002
Synthesis is the enabling technology and foundation of High-Level Design (HLD), the third generation of Electronic Design Automation (EDA). In simple terms, synthesis uses a functional specification and user constraints to automatically generate an optimized gate-level description.

A logic for synthesis design

Tetrahedron, 1981
Abstract The background for synthesis design logic is presented, followed by the development of a procedure aimed at assessing all and locating the best synthetic routes. The procedure has two stages, first a dissection of skeleton, then a generation of necessary functionality on it to afford successive construction reactions.

Logic Function Synthesis

2017
Now expert at the task of writing logic functions using the basic operators to describe digital systems, it’s time to take advantage of a useful tool: the truth table.

Logic-Level Synthesis

1992
Logic-level synthesis (sometimes also called logic synthesis) closes the gap between high-level synthesis and conventional CAD tools for physical design. During the late 80s great progress was made in research and development, which has led to powerful commercial tools.
