Finite size effect from classical strings in deformed AdS3× S3
We study the finite size effect of rigidly rotating and spinning folded strings in (AdS 3 × S 3) ϰ background. We calculate the leading order exponential corrections to the infinite size dispersion relation of the giant magnon, and single spike solutions.

Long string dynamics in pure gravity on AdS3 [PDF]
We study the classical dynamics of a completion of pure AdS gravity in 3D, whose only degrees of freedom are boundary gravitons and long strings. We argue that the best regime for describing pure gravity is that of "heavy" strings, for which back-reaction effects on the metric must be taken into account.

Black hole entropy and long strings
In this paper, we discuss whether black hole entropy counts short or long-range microstates in quantum gravity. In brick wall and induced gravity models, the entropy arises due to short distance correlations across the event horizon cut off at the Planck length.
