Loop-mediated isothermal amplification for the rapid detection of Salmonella [PDF]

open access: yesFEMS Microbiology Letters, 2005
Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) assay detected Salmonella within 60 min. The 220 strains of 39 serotypes of Salmonella subsp. enterica and 7 strains of Salmonella enterica subsp. arizonae were amplified, but not 62 strains of 23 bacterial species other than Salmonella.

Data for designing two isothermal amplification assays for the detection of root-infecting fungi on cool-season turfgrasses

open access: yesData in Brief, 2018
Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) and recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) are two rapid isothermal amplification methods for detecting three common fungal root pathogens of cool-season turfgrass: Gaeumannomyces avenae, Magnaporthiopsis

Lack of correlation between reaction speed and analytical sensitivity in isothermal amplification reveals the value of digital methods for optimization: validation using digital real-time RT-LAMP [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, we asked if it is possible to identify the best primers and reaction conditions based on improvements in reaction speed when optimizing isothermal reactions.

Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification: From Theory to Practice

open access: yesRussian Journal of Bioorganic Chemistry, 2022
Increasing the accuracy of pathogen identification and reducing the duration of analysis remain relevant for modern molecular diagnostics up to this day. In laboratory and clinical practice, detection of pathogens mostly relies on methods of nucleic acid amplification, among which the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is considered the "gold standard ...

Capillary-based multiplexed isothermal nucleic acid-based test for sexually transmitted diseases in patients [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We demonstrate a multiplexed loop mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) assay for infectious disease diagnostics, where the analytical process flow of target pathogens genomic DNA is performed manually by moving magnetic beads through a series of ...

Rapid detection of novel coronavirus/Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) by reverse transcription-loop-mediated isothermal amplification

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2020
Novel Corona virus/Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2 or 2019-nCoV), and the subsequent disease caused by the virus (coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19), is an emerging global health concern that requires a rapid diagnostic ...

Loop-mediated isothermal amplification-based electrochemical sensor for detecting SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater samples

open access: yesJournal of Environmental Chemical Engineering, 2022
The current pandemic COVID-19 caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, has generated different economic, social and public health problems. Moreover, wastewater-based epidemiology could be a predictor of the virus rate of spread to alert on new outbreaks.

A Review of Isothermal Amplification Methods and Food-Origin Inhibitors against Detecting Food-Borne Pathogens

open access: yesFoods, 2022
The isothermal amplification method, a molecular-based diagnostic technology, such as loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) and recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA), is widely used as an alternative to the time-consuming and labor-intensive

Clinical Evaluation of Self-Collected Saliva by Quantitative Reverse Transcription-PCR (RT-qPCR), Direct RT-qPCR, Reverse Transcription–Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification, and a Rapid Antigen Test To Diagnose COVID-19

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Microbiology, 2020
The clinical performances of six molecular diagnostic tests and a rapid antigen test for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) were clinically evaluated for the diagnosis of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in self-collected ...
