Development of SARS-CoV-2 Isothermal Amplification Detection Kits

open access: yesNano Biomedicine and Engineering, 2020
The SARS-CoV-2 isothermal amplification detection kits based on loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) were developed and evaluated on three types samples of SARS-CoV-2. The kits included enzyme reaction mixtures and chromogenic agents.

Biosensors Based on Isothermal DNA Amplification for Bacterial Detection in Food Safety and Environmental Monitoring

open access: yesSensors, 2021
The easy and rapid spread of bacterial contamination and the risk it poses to human health makes evident the need for analytical methods alternative to conventional time-consuming laboratory-based techniques for bacterial detection. To tackle this demand,

Bacteria‐Responsive Nanostructured Drug Delivery Systems for Targeted Antimicrobial Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bacteria‐responsive nanocarriers are designed to release antimicrobials only in the presence of infection‐specific cues. This selective activation ensures drug release precisely at the site of infection, avoiding premature or indiscriminate release, and enhancing efficacy.

Loop mediated isothermal amplification of Clostridioides difficile isolates in gastrointestinal patients

open access: yesAMB Express, 2022
This study investigated the prevalence of Clostridioides difficile by culture, multiplex polymerase chain reaction (M-PCR), and loop mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) in patients with suspected C. difficile infections (CDIs).

Detection of Human Influenza A Viruses by Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Microbiology, 2005
ABSTRACT Here we describe the use of the loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) method to detect human influenza viruses (H1 to H3). Our results were correlated 100% with results deduced from routine clinical diagnostic tests. In addition, we also developed a LAMP assay specific for human β-actin cDNA as a quality control test.

A novel cassette method for probe evaluation in the designed biochips [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A critical step in biochip design is the selection of probes with identical hybridisation characteristics. In this article we describe a novel method for evaluating DNA hybridisation probes, allowing the fine-tuning of biochips, that uses cassettes with ...

Sensitive and Spatially‐Resolved Electrochemiluminescence via Micropatterning

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The use of a simple silica nanoparticle surface coating and patterning process can transform ordinary gold electrodes into multiplexed ECL sensing electrodes. Through spatially confined droplet formation and local ECL emission, it is possible to perform multiple analyses simultaneously from individual locations as well as intensify the ECL signal by as

Real-time fluorescence loop mediated isothermal amplification for the diagnosis of malaria. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2010
BACKGROUND: Molecular diagnostic methods can complement existing tools to improve the diagnosis of malaria. However, they require good laboratory infrastructure thereby restricting their use to reference laboratories and research studies.
