An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Existence of bounded solutions for quasilinear parabolic systems with quadratic growth
Assuming the existence of an upper and a lower solution, we prove the existence of at least one bounded solution of a quasilinear parabolic systems, with nonlinear second member having a quadratic growth with respect to the gradient of the solution.

Solvability of a boundary value problem with a Nagumo Condition
The aim of this paper is to discuss the existence and localization of solutions for a generalized Emden-Fowler equation involving a conformable derivative and with a Dirichlet boundary condition.

LOWER AND UPPER BOUNDS OF SOLUTIONS OF FUNCTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS [PDF]
. In this paper, we first give a general theorem on the lower bound of functional differential equations u ′ (t) = F (t, ut), ut ∈ C. Then obtain the estimate of lower and upper bounds of solutions of the Volterra integro-differential equations ...

The physical dimensions and shape of bacterial cells define the surface area available to acquire nutrients and the volume available for synthesizing proteins and DNA. Here, we use computational systems biology to decode the importance of cell geometry as a major determinant of prokaryotic phenotype, including growth rate and metabolic efficiency. This

CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Upper and lower bounds for the solution of a melting problem [PDF]
A slab, melting under an arbitrary heat input on one face and insulated on the other is studied. Variable material properties are taken into account. After preliminary general considerations, it is shown that the solution to the stated problem is unique.

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Existence and uniqueness of positive solutions for a nonlocal dispersal population model
In this article, we study the solutions of a nonlocal dispersal equation with a spatial weight representing competitions and aggregation. To overcome the limitations of comparison principles, we introduce new definitions of upper-lower solutions. The
