We study the performance of different message passing algorithms in the two dimensional Edwards Anderson model. We show that the standard Belief Propagation (BP) algorithm converges only at high temperature to a paramagnetic solution.

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Ignition and flame sptead in laminar mixing layers [PDF]
In order to identify some of the mathematical problems encoun-tered in analyzing the ignition and ñame spread in mixing layéis, \ve shall describe the structure of the laminar mixing layer between two parallel streams of a fu el and air, initially ...

Thermoresponsive poly(N-vinylcaprolactam) as stationary phase for aqueous and green liquid chromatography [PDF]
Poly(N-vinylcaprolactam) (PVCL) connected to aminopropyl silica is a new stationary phase for temperature responsive liquid chromatography (TR-LC). PVCL shows a transition from hydrophilic to hydrophobic interaction between 30 and 40 degrees C.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Interplay between internal structure and optical properties of thermosensitive nanogels [PDF]
The structural and optical properties of thermosensitive particles, nanogels, are studied by light scattering and refractometry as a function of temperature.

Supramolecular control over self-assembly and double thermoresponsive behavior of an amphiphilic block copolymer [PDF]
A poly(ethylene glycol)-b-poly[N, N-dimethylacrylamide-ran-2-acrylamidoethyl nonanoate] (PEG-b-P(DMA-AAEN)) block copolymer has been demonstrated to show double thermoresponsive behavior in aqueous solution in the presence of hydroxypropylated ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Thickness-Dependent Swelling Behavior of Vapor-Deposited Hydrogel Thin Films
Hydrogel thin films containing temperature sensitive chemical functionalities (such as N-isopropylacrylamide, NIPAAm) are particularly interesting for sensor and actuator setups.
