Randomized, double‐blind, phase 1a single‐ascending dose and food effect studies assessing safety and pharmacokinetics of EC5026 in healthy volunteers

open access: yesClinical and Translational Science
Chronic pain represents a significant unmet medical need, affecting one‐fifth of the U.S. population. EC5026 is a small molecule inhibitor of the enzyme soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) which is being developed as a novel non‐opioid, non‐NSAID analgesic ...

Stability properties of stochastic maximal Lp-regularity

open access: yes, 2019
In this paper we consider Lp-regularity estimates for solutions to stochastic evolution equations, which is called stochastic maximal Lp-regularity. Our aim is to find a theory which is analogously to Dore’s theory for deterministic evolution equations ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

The quotient shapes of lp and Lp spaces

open access: yesRad Hrvatske akademije znanosti i umjetnosti. Matematičke znanosti, 2018
All lp spaces (over the same field), p ≠ ∞, have the finite quotient shape type of the Hilbert space l2. It is also the finite quotient shape type of all the subspaces lp(p'), p < p' ≤ ∞, as well as of all their direct sum subspaces F0N(p'), 1 ≤ p' ≤ ∞. Furthermore, their countable and finite quotient shape types coincide.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

ApoCIII-Lp(a) complexes in conjunction with Lp(a)-OxPL predict rapid progression of aortic stenosis

open access: yes, 2020
Objective This study assessed whether apolipoprotein CIII-lipoprotein(a) complexes (ApoCIII-Lp(a)) associate with progression of calcific aortic valve stenosis (AS).

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

LP/LP and lp/lp equine melanocyte culture data.

open access: yes, 2013
(A) Ultrastructure of melanocytes from human and horse epidermis at passages 3, 5, and 2 (humans, lp/lp and LP/LP respectively) were plated on glass coverslips and processed for transmission electron microscopy.
