Genetic tests in lymphatic vascular malformations and lymphedema.

open access: yes, 2018
Syndromes with lymphatic malformations show phenotypic variability within the same entity, clinical features that overlap between different conditions and allelic as well as locus heterogeneity.

Combined surgical and medical treatment of a retroperitoneal lymphatic-venous malformation presenting with significant haemorrhage

open access: yesJournal of Pediatric Surgery Case Reports, 2018
Lymphatic-venous malformations are rare congenital defects resulting from the abnormal communication between lymphatic vessels and systemic circulation, integrating the group of combined vascular malformations, with low-flow.

Orbital venous-lymphatic malformations (lymphangiomas) mimicking cavernous hemangiomas.

open access: yes, 2001
PURPOSE: To illustrate that orbital venous-lymphatic malformations (lymphangiomas) may rarely simulate cavernous hemangiomas, METHODS: Retrospective case review.

A Soft Robotic Device for Targeted Massage Therapy of Residual Limbs

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Residual limb edema after amputation can hinder recovery and delay prosthetic fitting. This study presents a soft‐robotic wearable device that delivers sequential compression through pneumatic McKibben actuators. By replicating the principles of manual lymphatic drainage, the device generates controlled mechanotherapeutic pressure patterns, providing a

Infected cystic hygroma resulting in septic shock and respiratory failure: A case report

open access: yesJournal of Pediatric Surgery Case Reports, 2016
Macrocystic lymphatic malformations (cystic hygromas) are a common cause of cystic neck lesions. These lesions are often diagnosed prenatally in children.

Marburg Virus Glycoprotein Is a Remarkable Virulent Factor Linked to Hemorrhagic Pathology: Evidence from Multimodal Experimental Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By integrating data from in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models, our research identifies the MARV glycoprotein as a remarkable hemorrhagic factor, filling a major gap in this important field. It also provides practical experimental tools for the basic research on viral pathogenesis and applied research aimed at antiviral intervention for hemorrhagic ...

DOT1L Drives Endothelial‐to‐Mesenchymal Transition and Fibrotic Vascular Remodeling via H3K79 Methylation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
DOT1L as a central epigenetic regulator of EndoMT and pulmonary fibrosis. Acting as an early epigenetic switch, it translates TGFβ–SMAD signaling into H3K79me2‐mediated chromatin remodeling, selectively activates fibrosis‐related genes, and primes ECs for rapid mesenchymal transition.
