NGC 2419 -- Another Remnant of Accretion by the Milky Way [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We isolate a sample of 43 upper RGB stars in the extreme outer halo Galactic globular cluster NGC 2419 from two Keck/DEIMOS slitmasks. The probability that there is more than one contaminating halo field star in this sample is extremely low.

Quantifying the Electrophilicity of 9(10H)‐Phenanthrenone‐ and 1‐Acenaphthenone‐Derived α, β‐Unsaturated Ketones

open access: yesJournal of Physical Organic Chemistry, Volume 39, Issue 2, February 2026.
The electrophilicities (Mayr E) of the α, β‐unsaturated ketones A and B were determined by kinetic studies of their reactions with carbanions (reference nucleophiles) in DMSO at 20°C. The different reactivities of A and B were rationalized by DFT calculations.

A Survey of CN and CH Variations in Galactic Globular Clusters from SDSS Spectroscopy

open access: yes, 2011
We present a homogeneous survey of the CN and CH bandstrengths in eight Galactic globular clusters observed during the course of the Sloan Extension for Galactic Understanding and Exploration (SEGUE) sub-survey of the SDSS.

Reprogramming Tumor‐Associated Macrophages via Targeted NAT10 Inhibition to Enhance Colorectal Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 2, 9 January 2026.
This study presents the sono‐sensitive nanorobot Sono@NAT10, which targets NAT10 condensates to reprogram tumor‐associated macrophages in colorectal cancer. By reducing the acetylation level of SRSF2 protein and activating HDAC10, Sono@NAT10 promotes M1 polarization, suppresses tumor progression, and strengthens immunotherapy. The approach demonstrates

THE IMPACT OF STUDENTS’ INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY ON GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP IDENTITY DEVELOPMENT – A THEORETICAL APPROACH

open access: yesStudia Universitatis Babeş-Bolyai Negotia, 2020
While universities expanding the short-term study abroad programs and international mobility for their students, these were identified as a substantial contribution toward the increasingly globalisation and promotion of global citizenship values. Lately

Testing Newtonian Gravity with AAOmega: Mass-To-Light Profiles and Metallicity Calibrations From 47 Tuc and M55

open access: yes, 2009
Globular clusters are an important test bed for Newtonian gravity in the weak-acceleration regime, which is vital to our understanding of the nature of the gravitational interaction.

Revealing growth increments in fossil and modern otoliths with backscattered electron imaging

open access: yesLimnology and Oceanography: Methods, Volume 24, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Otoliths, the functional earstones of teleost fishes, record growth in the form of microscopic increments, making them key archives of individual life histories. While increment analysis is commonly applied to modern otoliths, studies of fossil (Holocene) otoliths remain limited.

On the stellar content of the Carina dwarf spheroidal galaxy

open access: yes, 2010
We present U,B,V,I photometry of the Carina dwarf spheroidal galaxy, based on more than 4,000 CCD images. Special attention was given to the photometric calibration, and the precision for the B,V,I bands is better than 0.01 mag.

State‐of‐the‐Art, Insights, and Perspectives for MOFs‐Nanocomposites and MOF‐Derived (Nano)Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 52, December 29, 2025.
Different approaches to MOF‐NP composite formation, such as ship‐in‐a‐bottle, bottle‐around‐the‐ship and in situ one‐step synthesis, are used. Owing to synergistic effects, the advantageous features of the components of the composites are beneficially combined, and their individual drawbacks are mitigated.

Unlocking Employee Innovative Behaviour: Exploring the Power of Transformational Leadership and Tacit Knowledge Sharing Among Indonesian White-Collar Workers

open access: yesEconomics and Culture
The study explores the impact of transformational leadership on innovative employee behaviour, with tacit knowledge sharing as a mediator. This contributes to existing literature on the dynamic interplay between transformational leadership, employee ...
