Analytical method of definition of internal forces taking into account the distributed dynamical loads in links of robotic systems and mechanisms with statically indeterminate structures

open access: yesВестник КазНУ. Серия математика, механика, информатика, 2016
In this paper the technique of analytical determination of internal forces in links of planar mechanisms and manipulators with statically indeterminate structures taking into account the distributed dynamical loads, a dead weight and the operating ...

NOVEL MULTILATERAL TELEOPERATION AND COOPERATIVE CONTROL APPROACHES FOR MULTIPLE MANIPULATORS

open access: yes, 2018
Teleoperation of robotic manipulators has been one of the popular research areas in the robotics research community for last couple of decades. A variety of control methods have been proposed for bilateral and multilateral teleoperation of robotic ...

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

On path planning and obstacle avoidance for nonholonomic platforms with manipulators: A polynomial approach

open access: yes, 2002
A planning methodology for nonholonomic mobile platforms with manipulators in the presence of obstacles is developed that employs smooth and continuous functions such as polynomials.

PARK(ing) time–How park deficiency affects the biological clock in a Drosophila model of Parkinson's disease

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Drosophila park mutants serve as a model for Parkinson's disease. We used this strain to investigate the connection between oxidative stress and the circadian clock mechanism. We showed that increased oxidative stress affects the physiology of pacemaker cells, disrupting their daily structural plasticity. Lack of rhythmic signaling from pacemaker cells

Robot Manipulators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Robot manipulators are developing more in the direction of industrial robots than of human workers. Recently, the applications of robot manipulators are spreading their focus, for example Da Vinci as a medical robot, ASIMO as a humanoid robot and so on ...

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Three phosphatase families form a community: The phosphohydrolases that act upon inositol pyrophosphates

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.
