Cell Proliferation, EarlyView.In the Drosophila ovarian niche, an E‐cadherin‐to‐N‐cadherin switch, mediated by Wnt‐mir‐994 signalling, is repurposed to ensure niche resilience. This compensatory mechanism maintains niche integrity and stem cell support upon E‐cadherin loss, revealing a robustness circuit.

Microbiome‐mediated immunity: Limited support from the gazelle dung beetle
Ecological Entomology, EarlyView.Digitonthophagus gazella rely on a maternally inherited microbiome passed across generations via a maternal faecal pellet called the pedestal. We experimentally manipulated the presence of the pedestal, providing it to some individuals while withholding it from others to determine how pedestal microbiota may affect beetle immune potential.

Equine Veterinary Education, EarlyView.Summary Mittelschmerz is a well‐recognised benign peri‐ovulatory pain syndrome in women and, by physiological analogy, may also occur in mares. In equine practice, peri‐ovulatory ovarian pain has been associated with transient discomfort, colic‐like signs and behavioural changes, although its true clinical relevance remains poorly defined.
