Maresin 1 Maintains the Permeability of Lung Epithelial Cells In Vitro and In Vivo
Inflammation, 2016Previous reports showed that Maresin 1 (MaR1) possessed organ protection effects and could attenuate acute lung injury. Here, we aim to figure out whether MaR1 can maintain the permeability of lung epithelial cells by regulating the expression of tight junction protein during lung injury.

Are decreased serum Maresin 1 levels predictive of cholangiocarcinoma?
Journal of Current Hematology & Oncology ResearchAims: Cholangiocarcinoma (CC) is a rare form of adenocarcinoma originating from the epithelial cells of the biliary tract. Chronic inflammation is known to be a risk factor for this tumor. The present study aimed to investigate whether serum levels of Maresin 1 (MaR1) (a macrophage-derived anti-inflammatory lipid mediator) were associated with the ...

Upregulation of the maresin pathway and PGE2 metabolism in the failing human left ventricle
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Molecular and Cell Biology of LipidsChronic inflammation is involved in the pathogenesis of heart failure (HF), with cardiac remodeling and fibrosis resulting from sustained myofibroblasts activation. This is due to an imbalance between pro-inflammatory and pro-resolving mediators including specialized pro-resolving lipid mediators (SPM).
