[Genetic markers of viral vaccines].

Annali Sclavo; rivista di microbiologia e di immunologia, 1981
This paper deals with virus vaccines and their genetic markers. In particular we have examined four of the attenuated virus vaccines, now in widespread use, prepared in cell cultures, i.e. poliomyelitis, measles, mumps and rubella. The data reported could be of critical value for the evaluation of the safety and the prophylactic activity of the ...

An Immunologic Marker Technique for the Cendehill Vaccine Strain of Rubella Virus

The Journal of Immunology, 1970
Abstract Rabbits were immunized with serial, intramuscular doses of low tissue culture passage“wild” and high passage “attenuated” strains of rubella virus. Rubella hemagglutination-inhibiting antibody was detected in animals immunized with two serial doses of 3 log10 TCD50/ml of low passage strains.

Prevalence of HBV Markers in the Italian Armed Forces and HBV Vaccination

Military Medicine, 1989
Hepatitis B (HBV) markers were studied in 710 subjects who had been on active duty for over 6 months in the Italian Armed Forces. The prevalence of HBsAg carriers was found to be 4.4%, while 31.6% of the subjects were positive for various HBV antibodies. A total of 137 subjects were vaccinated with an anti-HBV vaccine (HB-VAX, MSD).

MARKER VACCINE FOR CLASSICAL SWINE FEVER

2011
The invention relates to a marker vaccine for prophylactic treatment of classical swine fever comprising modified live attenuated classical swine fever virus. The viral amino acid sequence of the TAV-epitope of the E2 protein comprises a different sequence from that of a wild-type classical swine fever virus.

A live bovine herpesvirus-1 marker vaccine is not shed after intramuscular vaccination.

Berliner und Munchener tierarztliche Wochenschrift, 2008
It should be established, whether animals vaccinated intramuscularly (IM) with a live Bovine herpesvirus type 1 (BHV-1) marker vaccine become viremic and/or excrete vaccine virus with nasal discharge. Five cattle, seronegative for BHV-1, were vaccinated with an overdose of the vaccine (Bovilis IBR marker live) via the IM route.
