EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

WATER DEFICIT OF SPRING BARLEY PLANTS AS ONE OF THE DROUGHT TOLERANCE TRAITS

open access: yesЗерновое хозяйство России, 2018
The article gives the data about the amount of water deficit (WD) of spring barley in different periods of genesis under various growing conditions. There have been selected the varieties (‘Leon’, ‘Zernogradsky 244’, ‘Zhedry’, ‘Sokol’) with a minimum ...

Formation of productivity of binary and single-species cenosis in the conditions of the Western Forest-Steppe

open access: yesПередгірне та гірське землеробство і тваринництво, 2022
The effectiveness of certain elements of the technology for growing binary cenosis of grain crops (oat, triticale) and grain-legume (vetch, lupine) crops in the soil and climatic conditions of the Western Forest-Steppe was evaluated.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Formation of yield and sowing qualities of winter wheat seeds under the influence of microfertilizers in the soil and climatic conditions of the forest-steppe of Western Ukraine

open access: yesAgricultural Science, 2019
The present study investigated the effect of chelated forms of microfertilizers applied in the tillering-shooting phase on the background of mineral nutrition (N90P90K90) with the phased application of nitrogen in stages IV and VII of organogenesis on ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Winter oilseed rape (Brassica napus L.) yield components in agro-ecological conditions of Banja Luka region [PDF]

open access: yesAgroznanje, 2017
Due to its numerous agricultural and industrial purposes, oilseed rape is a very important species. The total production of oilseed rape in the Republic of Srpska is faced with noticeable variation throughout years, with an increase in last three years ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Crowding as an Agronomic Factor Determining the Development of Plants and the Productivity of Linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.)

open access: yesJournal of Natural Fibers, 2020
Nine sowing densities of linseed were compared in a two-year experiment. Self-regulation of the density of a linseed stand resulted in a differentiated branching of the plants.
