Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Optimization of material removal rate for orthogonal cutting with vibration limits [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Besides growing accuracy requirements for cut parts the maximisation of productivity has still an important role in industry. One possible measure for productivity in cutting processes is the material removal rate.

Study on Material Removal Rate in EDM Of 9XC Steel

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mechanical Engineering
The present work examines the effects of discharge current (𝐼𝑒) and ignition voltage (𝑈𝑧) on the rate of material removal (MRR, denoted as 𝑄) during EDM of 9XC alloy tool steel, a very high-hardness tool steel used for mould manufacturing. In this article, a 22 full factorial design was used to systematically study the effects of process variables on a

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Micro wire electro discharge grinding: optimization of material removal rate and surface roughness [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This paper presents the analysis and modelling of material removal rate (MRR) and surface roughness (Ra) by micro wire electro discharge grinding (micro-WEDG) with control parameter of gap voltage, feed rate, and spindle speed. The data were analyzed and

MATERIAL REMOVAL RATE IN ELECTROCHEMICAL DISCHARGE MACHINING OF SMALL DIAMETER HOLES

open access: yesNonconventional Technologies Review, 2015
Electrochemical discharge machining method is based on the material removal from workpiece as a consequence of simultaneous development of electrical discharges between the electrodes and of the electrochemical reactions between the work liquid and ...

STUDY OF POLISHING AISI 316L WITH STRUCTURED ABRASIVE [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals: Series on engineering sciences (Academy of Romanian Scientists), 2015
Finishing process like polishing is usually used to obtain high quality mechanical surface characteristics such as texture and roughness. These operations are mainly handmade and need highly trained operators thus limiting their repeatability and ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.
