Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Matrix analytic methods in stochastic models

open access: yes, 1997
Based on the proceedings of the first International Conference on Matrix-Analytic Methods (MAM) in Stochastic Models held recently in Flint, Michigan, this timely resource presents a general working knowledge of MAM through carefully designed tutorial ...

Matrix analytic methods with Markov decision processes for hydrological applications. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In general, a physical process is modelled in terms of how its state evolves over time. The main challenge of modelling is to describe this evolution without unnecessary computation or making unrealistic simplifying assumptions.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Improved Point Dipole Model for Subwavelength Resolution Scattering Near-Field Optical Microscopy (SNOM)

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2020
High-resolution microscopy technique is of significant importance for studying nanomaterials. It is necessary to understand the near-field interaction between the probe and substrate materials in order to get the fine structure of the nanomaterial in the

A matrix constructive method for the analytic-numerical solution of coupled partial differential systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
summary:In this paper we construct analytic-numerical solutions for initial-boundary value systems related to the equation $u_t-Au_{xx}-Bu=0$, where $B$ is an arbitrary square complex matrix and $A$ ia s matrix such that the real part of the eigenvalues ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Testing moderator hypotheses in meta-analytic structural equation modeling using subgroup analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Meta-analytic structural equation modeling (MASEM) is a statistical technique to pool correlation matrices and test structural equation models on the pooled correlation matrix.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.
