Overview of total least squares methods

open access: yes, 2007
We review the development and extensions of the classical total least squares method and describe algorithms for its generalization to weighted and structured approximation problems.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Instantons in sine-Liouville theory

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We compute instanton corrections to the partition function of sine-Liouville (SL) theory, which provides a worldsheet description of two-dimensional string theory in a non-trivial tachyon background.

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

A Cautionary Note on Using Univariate Methods for Meta-Analytic Structural Equation Modeling

open access: yesAdvances in Methods and Practices in Psychological Science
Meta-analytic structural equation modeling (MASEM) is an increasingly popular technique in psychology, especially in management and organizational psychology. MASEM refers to fitting structural equation models (SEMs), such as path models or factor models,

Exponential Stability and Periodicity of Fuzzy Delayed Reaction-Diffusion Cellular Neural Networks with Impulsive Effect

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
This paper considers dynamical behaviors of a class of fuzzy impulsive reaction-diffusion delayed cellular neural networks (FIRDDCNNs) with time-varying periodic self-inhibitions, interconnection weights, and inputs.

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

An analytic method for spin transfer matrix in presence of snakes [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 1986
An analytic solution which will determine the number of Siberian snake needed for spin transperency of high energy beams in cyclic accelerators is sought. An algorithm for the spin transfer matrix is developed and applied to find the spin precession frequency for a specific number of snakes.

The Matrices R and G of Matrix Analytic Methods and The Time-Inhomogeneous Periodic Quasi-Birth-and-Death Process

open access: yes, 2008
We solve for the asymptotic periodic distribution of the continuous time quasi-birth-and-death process with time-varying periodic rates in terms of R^ and G^ matrix functions which are analogues of the R and G matrices of matrix analytic methods.
