Exploiting Trust and Usage Context for Cross-Domain Recommendation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2016
Cross-domain recommender systems are usually able to suggest items, which are not in the same domain, where users provided ratings. For this reason, cross-domain recommendation has attracted more and more attention in recent years.

Evidence that an RGD-dependent receptor mediates the binding of oligodendrocytes to a novel ligand in a glial-derived matrix. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
A simple adhesion assay was used to measure the interaction between rat oligodendrocytes and various substrata, including a matrix secreted by glial cells. Oligodendrocytes bound to surfaces coated with fibronectin, vitronectin and a protein component of

Energetics of Domain Walls in the 2D t-J model

open access: yes, 1998
Using the density matrix renormalization group, we calculate the energy of a domain wall in the 2D t-J model as a function of the linear hole density \rho_\ell, as well as the interaction energy between walls, for J/t=0.35.

Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

$ \nu- $Conull FDK-spaces

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
In this paper, we introduced the concepts of (strongly) $ \nu $-conull FDK-spaces, which can be regarded as double-indexed versions of FK-spaces (sequence space with coordinate functionals), by utilizing the notion of $ \nu $-convergence for double ...

Integrity of Narrow Epithelial Tubes in the C. elegans Excretory System Requires a Transient Luminal Matrix.

open access: yesPLoS Genetics, 2016
Most epithelial cells secrete a glycoprotein-rich apical extracellular matrix that can have diverse but still poorly understood roles in development and physiology.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Application of joint domain localised matrix CFAR detector for HFSWR

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
Target detection is one of the most important parts of high-frequency surface wave radar (HFSWR) signal processing, to find targets in noise or clutter and obtain targets’ information.
