On properties of some matrix splittings

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Linear Algebra, 2001
In iterative methods for linear systems, a matrix is split as \(A=M-N\) and the iteration is \(x^{(t+1)}=M^{-1}Nx^{(t)}+M^{-1}b\), \(t\geq 0\). The splitting is called convergent if the iterative method converges, i.e., if \(\rho(M^{-1}N)

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Convergence results of a matrix splitting algorithm for solving weakly nonlinear complementarity problems

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2016
In this paper, we consider a class of weakly nonlinear complementarity problems (WNCP) with large sparse matrix. We present an accelerated modulus-based matrix splitting algorithm by reformulating the WNCP as implicit fixed point equations based on two ...

Accelerated double-relaxation modulus-based matrix splitting iteration method for linear complementarity problems

open access: yesResults in Applied Mathematics, 2022
This paper is concerned with solving linear complementarity problems (LCP) arising in many scientific and engineering fields. We propose an accelerated double-relaxation two-sweep modulus-based matrix splitting (ADRTMMS) iteration method by applying ...

Single‐cell DNA methylation profiling: Technologies, computation, and applications in precision oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell DNA methylation (scDNAme) profiling maps epimutational clonal evolution, revealing mechanisms of malignancy and therapeutic resistance across diverse cancer types. By providing a high‐resolution landscape of intratumoral heterogeneity, these technologies empower precise patient stratification, guide the development of enhanced ...

A Robust Hermitian and Skew-Hermitian Based Multiplicative Splitting Iterative Method for the Continuous Sylvester Equation

open access: yesMathematics
For solving the continuous Sylvester equation, a class of Hermitian and skew-Hermitian based multiplicative splitting iteration methods is presented. We consider two symmetric positive definite splittings for each coefficient matrix of the continuous ...

PANoptosis in the pathogenesis of myelodysplastic syndromes

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PANoptosis, a combination of three types of programmed cell death, is mediated by a large protein complex called a PANoptosome. In healthy bone marrow hematopoietic cells, PANoptosis is restricted by inhibitory signaling. In MDS, bone marrow cells become sensitive to the PANoptotic stimuli due to the aberrant inactivation of inhibitory signaling or ...

A Parameterized Multi-Splitting Iterative Method for Solving the PageRank Problem

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
In this paper, a new multi-parameter iterative algorithm is proposed to address the PageRank problem based on the multi-splitting iteration method. The proposed method solves two linear subsystems at each iteration by splitting the coefficient matrix ...
