Effects of HIF-2α on Biological Function of Breast Cancer MCF-7 Cells

open access: yesZhongliu Fangzhi Yanjiu, 2018
Objective To investigate the effect of HIF-2α on proliferation, invasion and colony forming abilities of breast cancer MCF-7 cells. Methods HIF-2α ORF/shRNA lentivirus vectors were transfected into MCF-7 cells respectively, and then we screened and ...

PD-L1 CAR effector cells induce self-amplifying cytotoxic effects against target cells

open access: yesJournal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer, 2022
Background Immune checkpoint inhibitors and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-based therapies have transformed cancer treatment. Recently, combining these approaches into a strategy of PD-L1-targeted CAR has been proposed to target PD-L1high tumors.

New 3-Cyano-2-Substituted Pyridines Induce Apoptosis in MCF 7 Breast Cancer Cells

open access: yesMolecules, 2016
The synthesis of new 3-cyano-2-substituted pyridines bearing various pharmacophores and functionalities at position 2 is described. The synthesized compounds were evaluated for their in vitro anti-cancer activities on five cancer cell lines using 5-FU as

Combination of Doxorubicin and Berberine Generated Synergistic Anticancer Effect on Breast Cancer Cells Through Down-regulation of Nanog and miRNA-21 Gene Expression

open access: yesMiddle East Journal of Cancer, 2020
Background: Our purpose was to investigate the effect of berberine (BER) and doxorubicin (DOX) on the expression of stem cell markers Nanog and microRNA- 21 in MCF-7 cells.

Regulation of the Estrogen Receptor in MCF-7 Cells by Estradiol [PDF]

open access: yesMolecular Endocrinology, 1988
The role of estradiol in the regulation of its cognate receptor in MCF-7 cells was investigated in this study. After treatment with 10(-9) M estradiol, the level of receptor protein was measured using an enzymeimmunoassay. By 6 h, the receptor protein declined by about 60% from a level of approximately 3.6 to 1.2 fmol/micrograms DNA.

Upregulation of autophagy by Ginsenoside Rg2 in MCF-7 cells [PDF]

open access: yesAnimal Cells and Systems, 2018
Autophagy is a major intracellular degradation process that plays an important role in cell survival, stress responses, nutrient sensing and development. Our previous studies have shown that Rg2, a triterpenoid saponin contained in ginseng, protects cells against UVB-induced genotoxicity by increasing DNA repair, in possible association with modulation

Overexpression of Cell Surface Cytokeratin 8 in Multidrug-Resistant MCF-7/MX Cells Enhances Cell Adhesion to the Extracellular Matrix

open access: yesNeoplasia: An International Journal for Oncology Research, 2008
Accumulating evidence suggests that multiple complex mechanisms may be involved, simultaneously or complementarily, in the emergence and development of multidrug resistance (MDR) in various cancers. Cell adhesion-mediated MDR is one such mechanism.

Coenzyme Q Depletion Reshapes MCF-7 Cells Metabolism [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Molecular Sciences, 2020
Mitochondrial dysfunction plays a significant role in the metabolic flexibility of cancer cells. This study aimed to investigate the metabolic alterations due to Coenzyme Q depletion in MCF-7 cells. Method: The Coenzyme Q depletion was induced by competitively inhibiting with 4-nitrobenzoate the coq2 enzyme, which catalyzes one of the final reactions ...
