Corn Zein Nanocarriers for Agrochemical Delivery and Smart Packaging

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, EarlyView.
This review explores zein, a corn‐derived biodegradable protein, as a multifunctional nanocarrier for sustainable agriculture and packaging. It examines advances in agrochemical delivery, smart packaging, and stimuli‐responsive systems, while addressing scalability, environmental fate, and regulatory barriers.

The behaviour and health of dairy lambs reared artificially with and without early access to meal : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Animal Science at Massey University. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Many large-scale dairy sheep producers use lamb-rearing systems and provide lambs with milk replacer (MR) ad libitum and grain-based meal to accelerate rumen development to support early weaning methods.

Splanchnic Removal of Atrial Natriuretic Factor (ANF) in Man [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
In order to assess the effect of food ingestion on splanchnic disposal of human alpha-atrial natriuretic peptide (ANF), hepatic-intestinal removal of ANF was determined before and after a test meal.

Closed‐Loop Bioelectronic Artificial Pancreas Patch for Continuous Monitoring and Regulation of Blood Glucose in Diabetic Rats and Pigs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A closed‐loop bioelectronic artificial pancreas patch is presented for glucose monitoring and regulation. Utilizing transiently dissolvable microneedle arrays integrated with microtube arrays, the patch efficiently delivers insulin into interstitial fluid, eliminating the need for external long needles. In diabetic pigs, it demonstrates excellent blood

Deoxynivalenol Exposure Leads to Abnormal Renal Tubular Autophagy Flow

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
DON exposure disrupts the initiation of renal autophagy by inhibiting the formation of autophagosomes, thereby impairing mitochondrial degradation. Damaged mitochondria increase oxidative stress, reduce ferroptosis resistance, and cause lysosomal Fe2⁺ accumulation, further disrupting autophagy.

Redox Cascade in Chicken Skeletal Muscle: SELENOT Suppression in Selenium Deficiency Triggers Disulfidptosis via mtROS‐NADPH Dysregulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Se deficiency downregulates SELENOT, disrupting mitochondrial function and elevating mtROS to induce glucose metabolic reprogramming, NADPH depletion, cysteine accumulation, and disulfidptosis‐mediated actin cytoskeleton collapse in chicken skeletal muscle.

Fluoroquinolone-resistant Escherichia coli strains in animal and poultry feed from Ukrainian feed-producing enterprises

open access: yesБіологія тварин
The article presents the results of studying the sensitivity of Escherichia coli strains isolated from animal and poultry feed samples to fluoroquinolones of the second (ofloxacin, norfloxacin), third (levofloxacin) and fourth (moxifloxacin) generations.

Impact du décorticage du tournesol sur la valeur nutritionnelle et l’intérêt économique des tourteaux en fabrication d’aliments composés

open access: yesOléagineux, Corps gras, Lipides, 2012
Sunflower meal is an alternative source of proteins for feedstuff but its high fiber content reduces the nutritional value. Different dehulling processes can improve the protein content and the nutritional value of meal.

Has it become increasingly expensive to follow a nutritious diet? Insights from a new price index for nutritious diets in Sweden 1980–2012

open access: yesFood & Nutrition Research, 2015
Background: Health-related illnesses such as obesity and diabetes continue to increase, particularly in groups of low socioeconomic status. The increasing cost of nutritious food has been suggested as an explanation. Objective: To construct a price index
