Long‐Term Quality of Life in 1777 Persons With Hodgkin Lymphoma and 6166 Matched Comparators

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, Volume 101, Issue 7, Page 1654-1664, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Survival has improved substantially for patients with Hodgkin lymphoma (HL), but long‐term quality of life (QoL) remains incompletely understood. This was a Danish, nationwide, cross‐sectional study of QoL among persons with a diagnosis of HL matched 1:10 to general population comparators.

Role of Radiotherapy in Advanced Stage Hodgkin Lymphoma With Bulky Disease: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yeseJHaem, Volume 7, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Purpose: Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) is an uncommon malignancy predominantly affecting young adults. Chemotherapy is the main treatment, with radiotherapy used selectively in early‐stage disease. This meta‐analysis evaluates the impact of adding radiotherapy to bulky disease sites in advanced‐stage HL patients who achieve complete ...

DKK1 Targeting in Corneal Schwann Cells Rescues Axonal Regeneration and Mechanosensory Function After Corneal Injury

open access: yesJournal of Neuroscience Research, Volume 104, Issue 6, June 2026.
The schematic illustrates that corneal injury imparted by a stromal incision or by toxic chemical exposure causes corneal Schwann cells (cSCs) and axons to degenerate rapidly, resulting in impaired mechanosensory function. We hypothesized that repair cSCs, which develop post injury, are an as‐yet‐untested cellular target for axonal regeneration.

Melanogenesis From Topical Mechlorethamine And Analogues In Skin Of Hairless Mice And In Vitiligo

open access: yes, 1975
Progressive repigmentation occurred in vitiliginous skin of two patients topically treated with aqueous solutions of mechlorethamine. Hairless mice were found to provide what seems to be a satisfactory cutaneous system for evaluating potential ...

The Long Term Stability of Mechlorethamine Hydrochloride (Nitrogen Mustard) Ointment Measured by HPLC

open access: yes, 1993
HPLC has been applied to determine the stability of mechlorethamine hydrochloride (nitrogen mustard) formulated as an ointment in white soft paraffin (10 mg drug, 50 g paraffin and 1 mL acetone). A new solubilization technique is described for extraction

Nitrogen Mustard (Mechlorethamine) and UVB Photocarcinogenesis: A Dose Response Effect

open access: yes, 1984
The effects of UVB energy and nitrogen mustard (mechlorethamine, HN2) on tumor formation in the hairless mouse skin was examined. Twice weekly applications of HN2 produced tumors in 34% of the mice.

Oncology drug repurposing as a blueprint for Alzheimer's therapy

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia: Translational Research &Clinical Interventions, Volume 12, Issue 1, January/March 2026.
Abstract Alzheimer's disease (AD) imposes substantial personal, social, and economic burdens, yet current therapies provide only modest slowing of clinical decline. Recent approvals of amyloid‐targeting antibodies confirm target engagement but also expose the limitations of single‐target strategies in a disease shaped by interacting processes ...

Low risk of secondary leukemias after chemotherapy without mechlorethamine in childhood Hodgkin's disease. German-Austrian Pediatric Hodgkin's Disease Group.

open access: yes, 1997
BACKGROUND In the last two decades, it has become evident that secondary leukemias after Hodgkin's disease (HD) are mainly caused by the treatment with alkylating agents, especially mechlorethamine. Since 1978, the German-Austrian trials for childhood HD
