Analysis and design of a MEMS micromirror optical switch
SPIE Proceedings, 2007An optical switch based on micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS) technology has been analyzed and designed. In the proposed switch the collimating lenses as commonly used in MEMS switches have been eliminated thus making the switch smaller in size. The switch characteristics based on theoretical analysis and experimental results have been compared.

Optical Electrostatic MEMS for Wavelength Switching
Asia Optical Fiber Communication and Optoelectronic Exposition and Conference, 2008An electrostatic micromirror is designed and fabricated using a standard MicroElectroMechanical Systems (MEMS) process. Active control approaches are proposed for driving actuation to eliminate micromirror ldquopull-inrdquo achieving enhanced device performance and functionality.
