Human periosteum‐derived cell spheroids bioprinted at high density within a hyaluronic acid matrix promote fusion and hypertrophic cartilage formation in vitro. Early encapsulation enhances spheroid interaction and matrix maturation, generating scalable cartilage templates intended for endochondral bone regeneration.

Isolation and Enrichment of Rat Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) and Separation of Single-colony Derived MSCs [PDF]
MSCs are a population of adult stem cells that is a promising source for therapeutic applications. These cells can be isolated from the bone marrow and can be easily separated from the hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) due to their plastic adherence. This protocol describes how to isolate MSCs from rat femurs and tibias.

A human 3D bone niche integrating osteoblasts and osteoclasts enables co‐culture with prostate cancer cell lines and patient‐derived organoids. The engineered niche (i) models aspects of reciprocal phenotypic regulation between osteoblasts and cancer cells, (ii) captures osteoclast‐enhanced osteomimicry in tumor cells, and (iii) establishes a ...

Mesenchymal Stem Cells: Allogeneic MSC May Be Immunosuppressive but Autologous MSC Are Dysfunctional in Lupus Patients [PDF]
Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have a potently immunosuppressive capacity in both innate and adaptive immune responses. Consequently, MSCs transplantation has emerged as a potential beneficial therapy for autoimmune diseases even though the mechanisms underlying the immunomodulatory activity of MSCs is incompletely understood.

Mesenchymal stem cells preserve their stem cell traits after exposure to antimetabolite chemotherapy
Background: Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) participate in the regeneration of tissue lesions induced by antimetabolite chemotherapy; however, the influence of this class of anti-cancer compounds on the stem cells remains largely unknown.

Hydrogel Microtube Drug Carrier for Catheter‐Based Intravascular Therapy
This paper proposes hydrogel microtube carriers composed of barium alginate gel, enabling long‐term vascular retention without interrupting blood flow. Intravascular treatments have long been attracting attention for therapeutic efficacy, yet practical delivery methods remained unestablished.

This systematic review quantitatively compares conventional mechanical stimulation strategies in cartilage tissue engineering across 85 heterogeneous in vitro studies. Applying standardized effect measures, meta‐analysis reveals that combined compression and shear loading optimally promotes cartilage matrix development.
