Oleosome Oil Storage in the Mesocarp of Two Avocado Varieties
Studies on avocado oil have focused on the most common commercial cultivars, Hass, Fuerte, and Bacon, rather than the less common varieties, P. americana var. drymifolia and P. americana var. americana, even though the drymifolia variety has a higher oil content and the americana variety is the most common avocado grown in the tropics.

Modelling microwave heating of an oil palm mesocarp [PDF]
An oil palm mill often uses steam in sterilization and fruit detachment processes. Consequently, a large amount of wastewater is produced. To reduce the wastewater, microwave (MW) heating of oil palm fruits has been studied and positive results were reported in open literature.

Adsorption and Dispersion of Nickel on Oil Palm Mesocarp Fiber
The investigation on the adsorption of metal from aqueous solution onto a biomass is important for several reasons. First, biomass has been widely used as an economical sorbent to remove heavy metals from industrial wastewater. Second, studies have shown that impregnation of metals onto a biomass helps improving thermal conversion of the biomass, for ...

ABSTRACT The rapid expansion of the global avocado oil market has intensified concerns about economic adulteration with lower‐cost, high‐oleic seed oils that resemble the fatty acid specifications of avocado oil. Cis‐vaccenic acid C18:1 (n−7) occurs at higher proportions in avocado oil than in common seed oil adulterants, making it a promising ...
