Metabolic Pathway Mining

2016
Understanding metabolic pathways is one of the most important fields in bioscience in the post-genomic era, but curating metabolic pathways requires considerable man-power. As such there is a lack of reliable, experimentally verified metabolic pathways in databases and databases are forced to predict all but the most immediately useful pathways.Text ...

Metabolic pathways of trichothecenes

Drug Metabolism Reviews, 2009
Trichothecenes are a group of mycotoxins mainly produced by the fungi of Fusarium genus. Consumers are particularly concerned over the toxicity and food safety of trichothecenes and their metabolites from food-producing animals. The metabolism of T-2 toxin, deoxynivalenol (DON), nivalenol (NIV), fusarenon-X (FX), diacetoxyscirpenol (DAS), 3-acetyldeoxy-

Metabolic Pathways

Pediatrics, 1961
This is the first of two volumes of the Second Edition of a well known treatise, formerly titled Chemical Pathways of Metabolism. Fourteen outstanding authorities have prepared the 12 chapters in this first volume. The Editor was well qualified to select the best persons for each topic and to review their contributions critically.

Temsirolimus metabolic pathways revisited

Xenobiotica, 2019
Temsirolimus, a derivative of sirolimus, exhibits potent antitumor properties. It was the goal of this study to identify yet unknown temsirolimus metabolites generated after incubation with human liver microsomes. Previously, 23-hydroxy-, 24-hydroxy, 12-hydroxy, hydroxy-piperidine and 27-O-desmethyl temsirolimus had been described.Metabolite structures

Metabolic pathways

2019
This chapter explores metabolic pathways, which are the road maps defining the possible transformations of metabolites. They form a network, representable as a graph, usually with the metabolites as nodes, and reactions connecting them as edges. The enzyme that catalyses each reaction labels the edge.

Chromokinetics of metabolic pathways

European Journal of Biochemistry, 2004
Some methods to study and intuitively understand steady‐state flows in complicated metabolic pathways are discussed. For this purpose, a suitable decomposition of complex metabolic schemes into smaller subsystems is used. These independent subsystems are then interpreted as basic colors of a chromatic coloring scheme.

Metabolic Pathway Design

2019
This textbook presents solid tools for in silico engineering biology, offering students a step-by-step guide to mastering the smart design of metabolic pathways. The first part explains the Design-Build-Test-Learn-cycle engineering approach to biology, discussing the basic tools to model biological and chemistry-based systems.
