Development and validation of stability indicating method for estimation of buparvaquone by forced degradation studies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
A simple, rapid, precise and accurate stability indicating high performance liquid chromatographic method was developed for the determination of Buparvaquone in bulk as well as pharmaceutical dosage form by forced degradation studies.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Real-time distributed systems dimensioning and validation: The TURTLE method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The TURTLE language and toolkit offer a UML framework for service description, protocol modeling and communication architecture validation. The method associated with TURTLE uses an architectural design pattern where two or several protocol entities rely

Validation of a Rapid GC-MS Method for Forensic Seized Drug and Ignitable Liquid Screening Applications [PDF]

open access: yes
With the lack of standardized validation protocols across the forensic chemistry community, validation of instrumentation can be a challenging and time-consuming task.

Discrete element method to simulate continuous material by using the cohesive beam model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The mechanical behavior of materials is usually simulated by the continuous mechanics approach. However, simulation of non-continuous phenomena like multi fracturing is not well adapted to a continuous description.

Non-Targeted Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Analysis for Food Authenticity: A Comparative Study on Tomato Samples

open access: yesMolecules
Non-targeted NMR is widely accepted as a powerful and robust analytical tool for food control. Nevertheless, standardized procedures based on validated methods are still needed when a non-targeted approach is adopted.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Analytical Evaluation of the Autobio 25-OH Vitamin D Assay: Comparison with Liquid Chromatography–Tandem Mass Spectrometry and Clinical Implications

open access: yesMetabolites
Background: 25-Hydroxy vitamin D [25(OH)D] is the circulating form of vitamin D. Its deficiency is a major global health concern, affecting over one billion people. Beyond its role in bone health, low vitamin D levels have been implicated in a wide range

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...
