ABSTRACT The effects of fish oil supplementation on omega‐3 (n‐3) polyunsaturated fatty acids, particularly intermediates between eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA, 20:5n‐3) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA, 22:6n‐3), that may provide valuable metabolic information, have not been fully characterized in older populations.
