Lessons from in vitro reconstitution analyses of plant microtubule-associated proteins
Plant microtubules, composed of tubulin GTPase, are irreplaceable cellular components that regulate the directions of cell expansion and cell division, chromosome segregation and cell plate formation.

Microtubule-associated proteins and neuronal morphogenesis
ABSTRACT The microtubule-associated proteins (MAPs) are a set of structural proteins that bind to microtubules in vitro. Several of them occur at high levels in neurons where their expression is under strong developmental regulation, suggesting that they are involved in neuronal morphogenesis. Recently cDNAs for several of them have been

Chromosomal Instability Drives Glioblastoma Heterogeneity and Therapeutic Opportunities
ABSTRACT Glioblastoma, the most aggressive and lethal form of brain cancer, is defined by profound genomic instability, with Chromosomal Instability (CIN) playing a central role in driving tumor progression, therapy resistance, and poor prognosis. CIN is characterized by numerical and structural alterations, is driven by mechanisms such as mitotic ...

Ultrasensitivity of microtubule severing due to damage repair
Summary: Microtubule-based cytoskeletal structures aid in cell motility, cell polarization, and intracellular transport. These functions require a coordinated effort of regulatory proteins which interact with microtubule cytoskeleton distinctively.

Myomegalin is necessary for the formation of centrosomal and Golgi-derived microtubules
Summary The generation of cellular microtubules is initiated at specific sites such as the centrosome and the Golgi apparatus that contain nucleation complexes rich in γ-tubulin.

This study identifies the HDAC6/GATA4/HtrA1 axis as a critical driver of cellular senescence in the inner ear. GATA4 nuclear translocation, facilitated by HDAC6 downregulation, transcriptionally activates HtrA1, promoting hair cell senescence, SASP, and audio‐vestibular dysfunction in models of Ménière's disease and age‐related audio‐vestibular ...
