TPMS‐Gyroid Scaffold‐Mediated Up‐Regulation of ITGB1 for Enhanced Cell Adhesion and Immune‐Modulatory Osteogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A) SLM generates biomimetic bone scaffolds with consistent porosity but varying TPMS‐Gyroid unit cell designs (TG15, TG20, TG25, TG30). B) By enhancing the expression of ITGB1, TPMS‐Gyroid scaffolds can facilitate osteogenic differentiation in BMSCs and promote M2 polarization in macrophages.

Encapsulation of Small Extracellular Vesicles into Selectively Disassemblable Shells of PEGylated Metal‐Phenolic Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) are encapsulated into protective shells composed of metal‐phenolic networks (MPNs) and secondary poly(ethylene glycol) layers. This surface modification approach enhances the storage stability of sEVs while maintaining their integrity and functionality. The shells can be selectively disassembled under mild conditions.

Carbon‐Based Flexible Electrode for Efficient Electrochemical Generation of Reactive Chlorine Species in Tumor Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A flexible electrode loaded with a carbon nanowire network (CC@C‐NWN) is developed for electrochemically generating reactive chlorine species (RCS) from abundant chloride ions in body fluids for tumor therapy. CC@C‐NWN enhances chlorine evolution, inducing redox dysregulation and synergistic apoptosis‐ferroptosis in tumor cells.

QUALITY AND SAFETY OF MILK AND MILK PRODUCTS

open access: yes
A balanced diet is one of the most important factors determining the immune status of the body. The availability of products that meet the quality and safety requirements established in the diet is not only basic, but also a necessary condition for human health. Many radionuclides, toxins and pathogens can enter our bodies through food.

RBC Membrane‐Camouflaged Nanosystem‐Mediated Synergistic Drug Combination for Enhanced Anti‐Tumor Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
An RBC membrane camouflaged, cell‐penetrating peptides R8‐based drug delivery system is constructed to achieve a synergistic combination of natural compounds triptolide (TP) and celastrol (Cel), inducing tumor cell apoptosis, reducing tumor metastasis invasion and triggering autophagy disorder in breast cancer and liver cancer.

Engineered MSC Aggregates with E/N‐Cadherin and IL‐6 Preconditioning for the Treatment of Systemic Sclerosis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Engineered 3D‐Cad/IL6‐MSC, developed through synergistic hE/N‐cad‐Fc and IL‐6 preconditioning, show remarkable therapeutic potential for systemic sclerosis. These engineered MSC aggregates reduce pathogenic inflammatory cell infiltration and restore immune balance among CD4+ T‐cell populations, offering a promising approach to optimize MSC based ...

Willingness to Pay for Improved Milk Sensory Characteristics and Assurances in Northern Kenya Using Experimental Auctions [PDF]

open access: yes
Pastoralists in northern Kenya may be able to diversify income by selling milk in nearby towns and cities. However, milk sold in open-air markets in communities in northern Kenya is often of low quality in terms of its sensory characteristics.

Effect of barley preservation method on milk production and milk quality in organic farming [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The effect of dried vs. ensiled barley (cv. Arve) on feed intake, milk yield and quality in organic production was tested in two experiments in Northern Norway. In the first experiment, two groups were given either 40% or 10% concentrated feed (barley)
