We present Milky Way-est, a suite of 20 cosmological cold-dark-matter-only zoom-in simulations of Milky Way (MW)-like host halos. Milky Way-est hosts are selected such that they (i) are consistent with the MW’s measured halo mass and concentration, (ii ...

There's no place like home? Statistics of Milky Way-mass dark matter halos
We present an analysis of the distribution of structural properties for Milky Way-mass halos in the Millennium-II Simulation (MS-II). This simulation of structure formation within the standard LCDM cosmology contains thousands of Milky Way-mass halos and has sufficient resolution to properly resolve many subhalos per host.

miR‐185‐5p derived from UC‐MSC exosomes via hypoxic suspension culture promotes scarless wound healing in mice by precisely regulating collagen I/III regeneration. Exosomes derived from UC‐MSCs under a three‐dimensional bioreactor and hypoxic conditions were injected into the skin wounds of mice.

C-19 and Hot, Wide Star Streams
The C-19 star stream has the abundance characteristics of an unusually metal-poor globular cluster but kinematically is uncharacteristically hot and wide for a cluster stream, having a line-of-sight velocity dispersion of 7 ± 2 km s ^−1 and a 1 σ width

Chronic periodontitis elevates circulating CRP, which enters the hippocampus to upregulate BMP4 in oligodendrocyte precursor cells (OPCs), thereby impairing neurogenesis and inducing anxiety/depression‐like behaviors in rats. Counteracting this pathway, CRP deficiency helps confer functional resilience to OPCs.

The infall of the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) into the Milky Way’s halo impacts the distribution of stars and dark matter (DM) in our Galaxy. Mapping the observational consequences of this encounter can inform us about the properties of both galaxies ...

Dwarf Cosmology with the Stromlo Missing Satellites Survey
The standard Lambda Cold Dark Matter model is considered to be a triumph of theoretical astrophysics but observations of the Milky Way and its system of satellite galaxies irresistibly signal that theory is incomplete on galactic and subgalactic scales ...

The diagram depicts the endothelial‐protective mechanism of magnesium lithospermate B (MLB) in sepsis‐associated lung injury. MLB binds GPX4 at Gly79, disrupts its interaction with FUNDC1, prevents mitophagy‐mediated GPX4 degradation, restores mitophagic flux, reduces ROS, and limits ferroptosis.

Questioning a 3.5 keV dark matter emission line
Context. Recent findings of line emission at 3.5 keV in both individual and stacked X-ray spectra of galaxy clusters have been speculated to have dark matter origin. Aims.

Alphaviral Capsid Proteins Inhibit Stress Granule Assembly via Competitive RNA Binding With G3BP1
Stress granules exert antiviral functions. This study illustrates a conserved function of alphaviral capsid proteins in modulating stress granules. Oligomerization mediated by a helical motif coupled with a positively charged intrinsically disordered region (IDR) directly competes with G3BP1 for RNA binding, thereby disrupting G3BP1‐RNA liquid–liquid ...
