Image1_MiR-543 Inhibits the Migration and Epithelial-To-Mesenchymal Transition of TGF-β-Treated Endometrial Stromal Cells via the MAPK and Wnt/β-Catenin Signaling Pathways.TIF

open access: yes, 2023
Intrauterine adhesion (IUA) is one of the most prevalent reproductive system diseases in females. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are reported to be master regulators in a variety of diseases, including IUA, but the role of microRNA-543 (miR-543) in IUA remains to be

Brain endothelial miR-146a negatively modulates T-cell adhesion through repressing multiple targets to inhibit NF-κB activation. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Pro-inflammatory cytokine-induced activation of nuclear factor, NF-κB has an important role in leukocyte adhesion to, and subsequent migration across, brain endothelial cells (BECs), which is crucial for the development of neuroinflammatory disorders ...

The Role of Intraparticle Diffusion in Kinetic Model Discrimination: Proof of Concept Testing for Methanol Dehydration

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The rate of a heterogeneous catalytic process may simultaneously be described by several rate equations. In this case, discrimination between the plausible kinetic models is required. An intrinsic kinetic model of a heterogeneous catalytic process may successively be discriminated by the transition from a reaction rate‐limited regime to an ...

Construction of a competitive endogenous RNA network and identification of potential regulatory axes in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

open access: yesFrontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine
BackgroundHypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is a complex and heterogeneous cardiovascular disease, the pathogenesis of which remains unclear. In this study, we aimed to explore potential biomarkers and competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA) network in HCM ...

An ontological morphological phylogenetic framework for living and extinct ray‐finned fishes (Actinopterygii)

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract The ray‐finned fishes include one out of every two species of living vertebrates on Earth and have an abundant fossil record stretching 380 million years into the past. The division of systematic knowledge of ray‐finned fishes between paleontologists working on extinct animals and neontologists studying extant species has obscured the ...

Degradation of cellular mir-27 by a novel, highly abundant viral transcript is important for efficient virus replication in vivo. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Cytomegaloviruses express large amounts of viral miRNAs during lytic infection, yet, they only modestly alter the cellular miRNA profile. The most prominent alteration upon lytic murine cytomegalovirus (MCMV) infection is the rapid degradation of the ...

The role of IgM anti‐acetylated protein antibodies and B cells in the origin of anti‐modified protein autoimmunity in rheumatoid arthritis

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Accepted Article.
Objective Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is characterized by anti‐modified protein antibodies (AMPAs), including anti‐citrullinated (ACPA), anti‐carbamylated (anti‐CarP), and anti‐acetylated (AAPA) protein antibodies. In contrast to other AMPAs, AAPA IgM is found in healthy individuals, raising questions about its role in early immune responses.
