Amniotic fluid‐derived small extracellular vesicles for predicting postnatal severe outcome of congenital diaphragmatic hernia

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Biology
Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) is a life‐threatening condition with high morbidity and mortality rates. The survival rate of neonates with severe CDH is reportedly only 10%–15%.

miR-125a-5p regulates the sialyltransferase ST3GAL1 in murine model of human intestinal campylobacteriosis

open access: yesGut Pathogens, 2023
Background Zoonotic microorganisms are increasingly impacting human health worldwide. Due to the development of the global population, humans and animals live in shared and progressively crowded ecosystems, which enhances the risk of zoonoses.

miR-615-3p promotes the phagocytic capacity of splenic macrophages by targeting ligand-dependent nuclear receptor corepressor in cirrhosis-related portal hypertension

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 2011
Hypersplenism is a condition in which the spleen is overactive. It is common in patients with cirrhosis-related portal hypertension. The over-activated hemophagocytic splenic macrophages are an important cause of hypersplenism. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are 21–22 nt single-stranded RNAs expressed endogenously, which play important roles in many diseases.

An Injectable Epigenetic Autophagic Modulatory Hydrogel for Boosting Umbilical Cord Blood NK Cell Therapy Prevents Postsurgical Relapse of Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, 2022
Triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC) exhibits resistance to conventional treatments due to the presence of cancer stem cells (CSCs), causing postsurgical relapse and a dismal prognosis.

Aquatic Productivity Signals in the Kolyma River (Northeastern Siberia) From O2/Ar Ratios and O2 Triple Isotopologues

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Biogeosciences, Volume 130, Issue 12, December 2025.
Abstract Arctic rivers are intricate water networks that chemically and biologically process carbon before releasing it as carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere or carrying it to the ocean. Primary producers use inorganic carbon to build biomass at the base of the trophic chain.

Targeting Hyperglycemic Bone Pre‐Metastatic Niche for Breast Cancer Bone Metastasis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 37, October 6, 2025.
This study reveals that breast cancer creates a hyperglycemic pre‐metastatic niche in bone prior to colonization and amplifies glucose metabolism post‐metastasis. To target this mechanism, a biomimetic enzyme‐engineered nanoplatform that disrupts tumor glycolytic pathways, proposing a therapeutic strategy to inhibit breast cancer bone metastasis by ...
