Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and pancreatic diseases
Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) is a family of collagenolytic enzymesand are associated with many pathological conditions. Especially, MMPs have a strong relation with tumor progression and invasion. In this review, we focused on association of MMPs and

Metaloproteinasas de la matriz extracelular (MMPs) en Odontología
Most body tissues are found in a constant renovation process, modulated by a large number of proteins that induce tissue synthesis and degradation over time.

We constructed a brain‐targeted AFn‐DPZ nanodrug delivery system and identified EphB1 as its receptor on the blood‐brain barrier (BBB). This system facilitates drug transport across the BBB and thereby ameliorates cognitive impairment in Alzheimer's disease.

Role of MMPs and CD147 in non-alcoholic steatohepatitis progression
Obesity and diabetes is increasing exponentially and this is accompanied with prevalence of metabolic diseases like non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), an inflammatory often fibrotic condition of the liver.

This study unravels that bone fracture accelerates diabetic wound healing by releasing exosomal microRNA (miR‐130b‐3p). To mimic this bone‐skin crosstalk, we engineered a self‐assembling agomir‐130b‐3p nanocomplex. Delivered via a photocrosslinkable hydrogel, this bio‐inspired therapy provides sustained localized agomir release.

This study introduces β‐glucan‐shielded apremilast laden nanomicelles that withstand gastrointestinal degradation, selectively accumulate in inflamed colon tissue, and modulate the microbiota–gut–brain axis. The formulation restores barrier integrity, reduces systemic and neuroinflammation, and improves anxiety‐ and depression‐like behaviors in colitis

Metalloproteinases (MMPs) play a significant role in cancer pathogenesis. We investigated the levels of MMP-7, MMP-26, MMP-3, and MMP-10 in comparison with the levels of a tumor marker (CA125) in the plasma of postmenopausal patients in early stages of endometrial cancer (EC) compared with control groups: patients with benign lesions (myoma uteri) and ...

Large‐scale whole‐exome sequencing in 356,982 UK Biobank participants defines the protein‐coding architecture of retinal structure, visual function, and major blinding diseases. Pleiotropic genes, including CFI, C3, and RIOX1, bridge multiple retinal phenotypes, while experimental validation of FYB2 implicates RPE barrier dysfunction, providing ...
