Modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) of fuerte avocado halves

open access: yesLWT - Food Science and Technology, 1995
Fuerte (Persia Americana Mill.) avocado halves were packaged in nylon polyethylene laminate bags with air, vacuum, or a commercial gas mix (5% CO, 15% O2, 80% CO2), and stored at 7.2°C for 21 d. Microbiological analyses, textural changes, weight loss, and color values (Hunter L. a. b. ΔE) were evaluated at 7 d intervals.
