Design features of modular buildings

open access: yesThe Eurasian Scientific Journal, 2022
The paper is devoted to modular buildings as а current topic of modern construction. A significant number of studies on this topic have appeared both in Russia and abroad in last years. It is necessary to classify modular buildings and highlight their design features to systematize the research.

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT IN URBANIZED REGIONS WITH HIGH REAL ESTATE COSTS

open access: yesThree Seas Economic Journal
The persistent imbalance between housing supply and demand in high-cost urban areas remains one of the most significant challenges facing contemporary urban economies. Rising land prices, increasing construction costs, demographic pressures, and limited

Building blocks for adaptive modular sensing systems [PDF]

open access: yes2007 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, 2007
This paper describes the design and implementation of a set of building blocks for the construction of adaptive modular sensing systems. A hardware architecture is proposed which allows the development of a general set of modular components with embedded knowledge about their capabilities.

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐
